Kevin O'Leary Calls 3.5 Billion Poor "Wonderful News"

People who want more wealth distribution are worried about the fact that most of the world's wealth is held by the rich.

Because Kevin O'Leary has strange ideas about poverty, the TikToker @alex.boychuck video with the caption "can't believe he said this on live TV" has gone viral.

The interviewer says that Oxfam says the world's 85 richest people have the same amount of money as the world's 3.5 billion poorest people

O'Leary's response shocked both the interviewer and the audience. "He says, "It's great, and this is a good thing because it gives everyone hope.

Gets the motivation to look up at the top 1% and say, "I want to be one of those people." I'm going to work hard to get to the top."

"This is great news, so of course I'm glad to hear it." The interviewer gives Kevin O'Leary a surprised look, which makes him ask, "What's wrong with that?"

She asks, "Really?" with a puzzled look on her face. He says, "Yes, really," with confidence.

The interviewer asks him, "So, are you saying that someone who lives in Africa on $1 a day wakes up every day and thinks, "I'm going to be Bill Gates?"

"That's the kind of motivation everyone needs," Kevin O'Leary said in response.

The interviewer then tried to joke that Kevin O'Leary's way of thinking is unrealistic for poor people around the world.

"So, you're saying that the only thing between me and that guy is my motivation? All I need to do is pull my socks up. I don't even have any socks..."
